Wildlife Photography

Wildlife photography has grown incredibly in popularity over the past few years. Whether you are a serious photographer in need of decisive images or a keen amateur looking at unraveling the complexities of your hobby, we work with you from the initial enquiry right through to the actual safari in order to ensure each expectation is met.

Some key features to look at when booking a wildlife photographic safari.

  • A professional photographer with numerous publications in Wildlife magazines to his credit will guide and host your safari.
  • Your guide has a conservation and wildlife background and in addition to knowing the technical working of photography, understands wildlife behavior.
  • We do not use your safari to subsidize our own photography! Although we love every aspect of wildlife photography we never photograph at the cost of guests images.
  • Every safari is arranged on an exclusive base and according to your needs. You will only share the experience with the friends and family you travel with.
  • We discuss your needs either telephonically or via a Skype call in order to determine your exacts needs. Communication remains open throughout the booking process.
  • Destinations are chosen based on personal experience. This allows us to recommend a destination based on seasonal wildlife movements.
  • Camps and lodges, whether a rustic bushcamp or lavish lodge are chosen based on their location within rich wildlife areas and proved track record.
  • In order to allow photographers sufficient space vehicles are never crowded and group sizes are limited.
  • Wherever possible your guide also drives the game-drive vehicle. With highly mobile wildlife, this is invaluable in getting to the exact position for photography.
  • Dedicated photographic vehicles can be arranged at certain destinations.
  • We provide all camera support systems such as gimbal heads and beanbags on safari at no extra cost to you. This also eliminates lugging additional heavy gear around.
  • Photographic hides with consistently good sightings are used at various destinations.
  • Photographic workshops is included in each safari and by means of a PowerPoint slide presentation we go through the various aspects of photography while in the field.
